Creating Your Perfect Vision Board and Activating Your Dreams

The new year is around the corner, literally some days away and we just know that it’s going to be a transformative year for us all and we’re excited to be on this transformative journey with you, a journey where our wildest dreams start taking shape and manifest into reality. One thing we at NayLiving love to do is put pen to paper about everything whether it’s journaling or vision boarding. Well today, we’re talking about how we’re creating the perfect vision board for us and we think it’ll be great to have you do it as well.

If you’re new to vision boarding, don’t worry! We’ll walk you through every step.

Let’s start from the very beginning, with what you’ll need to create this vision board. It’s like a day back at kindergarten during Arts and Crafts class: a board, images printed out, scissors, glue or pins, and if you’re creative like that, you can add on some stickers, glitter or coloured pens.

With your materials in hand, it’s time to set your intentions. We like to close our eyes, take a deep breath, and spend some quality time thinking about what we’d love to achieve – in our career, personal life, relationships or even spiritual growth. This intention is what brings about our vision board, so don’t be scared to really think deep. Hence, the vision in all this.

Now, it’s time for the fun part. We’re no artists but just allow your creative spirit to go free as you gather your inspiration. I personally like to browse through Pinterest or Instagram or flip through my favorite magazine. The key is to find words, quotes, and images that vibe with your goals.

As your inspiration builds up, you can start to bring it all together on your poster board. Please remember, there’s no ‘right’ way to arrange it – follow your intuition and let it be a beautiful chaos that reflects your dreams.

This is also a good time to add some affirmations. We’d write down our positive mantras that align with our goals and uplift us. We like to think of these affirmations as some encouragement when we’re having bad days or even feeling doubtful.

This part is almost the most important part of all this— place your vision board somewhere where it’ll catch your eye every day. We can make a habit of spending a few moments with it every morning or evening, visualizing our dreams, reciting our affirmations and dwelling in the power of our intentions. I know we’ve been talking about creating a physical vision board, which we prefer to do, also because its a nice activity to share with friends or alone. But if arts and craft is not your thing, you could also make a digital vision board using an app like Canva. You could save it as an image afterwards.

However, just staring at your vision board won’t make things happen. Remember to follow up your intentions with actions, even if they’re small. Baby steps, right? And most importantly, don’t forget to believe in yourself and your potential to make your dreams come true. We believe in you so much!

In fact, to celebrate our shared love for vision boarding, NayLiving is hosting a vision boarding community event in January. We advise that you sign up for our email list so you don’t miss any information on this! Remember, there’s something powerful about visualizing your dreams and aspirations collectively. We can’t wait to share this experience with you!
