No one loves to travel more than a wellness influencer. Everyone would probably take up the opportunity to travel if given, but not as much as a wellness influencer. We’d know because if you gave us the chance to better our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, we wouldn’t turn it down for anything in the world.
But we believe that a wellness influencer doesn’t travel like a regular tourist. We’re usually in search of peace, and the best part about it is that we’ll make sure to grab along our tripod, camera, power bank, and an extra battery just in case. While we wouldn’t call ourselves influencers just yet, we do pride ourselves as people who are all about wellness. We love to plan our trips ahead of time, avoiding anything that could cause us stress, which means doing as much research about our proposed destination, travel documents, accommodation, insurance, the weather, and as far as the diseases they might have lurking. We take no health risks over here friend! We like to stay ready, which means packing our travel kit, skincare items, medication for a flu, diarrhea, and skin reaction; contraceptive cause you never know what lies ahead.
Being intentional about the destination is very important to us. We’re all at different points in our lives, and our minds may crave different things. You might be in search of some beautiful greenery to make you feel one with growth and prosperity; the perfect location would be Gothenburg, Sweden, for its lush vegetation. We imagine beautiful walks in the park and forests, not too far, though.
We’d love to visit the Steam Valley in Iceland. It’s literally a hot pool in one of the coldest places in the world. What’s more zen than that? It’s the perfect escape from the fast-paced hustle culture that comes with living in Lagos.
One of our favorite things to do on our trips is journaling. Being in a totally different space than we’re used to can bring up different thoughts and feelings and leave us with plenty to say or write. In order to be totally honest with ourselves, we like to journal about them because we realize that we’re the most honest when it’s just us and that notebook.
But we imagine that the best thing about traveling as a wellness influencer is taking your community along on your trips, sharing your processes, experiences, and showing them how they could do better for their well-being.
