Is it just us or everyone is seemingly in a better mood as the holiday season approaches? A Christmas song can just randomly come on from that store whose owner can’t wait for it to be Christmas. We can’t blame them though, we’re the same way. Our journals are out and we’re ready to create our itinerary for the season and of course, we’ll be sharing with you. We’re looking for activities that will make us feel good!
We can acknowledge that, after a year like this one, we all deserve feel-good vibes.
Picture this: a cozy evening indoors, surrounded by loved ones, and engaging in a friendly competition of charades, or some of the card games that are out right now. These games somehow have us crying from laughter and forging deeper connections, making them the perfect way to relax and bond with those you cherish most. One of our favourite activities to spark some joy and healthy competition is games night.
We also love a great karaoke night. Although, this might not be everyone’s favourite activity. But we think it’s that way because a lot of us are shy to sing anywhere outside of our shower. So, let out your inner Mariah Carey, grab a microphone, and let loose. There’s a joy in embracing your goofiness, especially when surrounded by people who won’t judge.
Amidst the holiday hustle and bustle, it’s important to make out time for self-care. We could plan a luxurious spa day to pamper ourselves with lovely treatments. Also, keep in mind that we can create a luxurious spa experience rights from home. Imagine the soothing sensation of a peppermint scrub or the revitalizing effect of a cucumber face mask. Afterwards, we want to leave feeling refreshed and ready to embrace the season.
I can tell you for free that there is nothing that makes us happier than good food. Nothing sparks the holiday spirit like the aroma of freshly baked goods or a spread of our favourite meals. We’d love to gather our loved ones for a fun-filled cooking challenge, whether it’s a festive Cookie Wars or an exciting Great Family Bake-off. This year, we can spice it up a bit and have a Nigerian Jollof war. The meal got its global recognition, with everyone trying it. Let’s see who makes the best Jollof rice amongst the group.
But honestly, what better way to celebrate the season than by hosting a Christmas party? Having our closest friends and family all in the same place, encouraging them to bring their holiday spirit, and transform your home into a festive space filled with laughter, joy, and heartwarming hugs.
In the spirit of the season, consider volunteering your time and talents to those in need. Whether it’s helping out a charity organization with their outreach, sorting donations, or wrapping gifts for less privileged children. Giving back to the community can bring immense satisfaction and warmth to our hearts.
We can add a nice Paint and Sip session to our itinerary. When it comes to Paint and Sip, we really don’t need any painting skills. It’s always so easy because you’d have an instructor telling you exactly what you should do. Plus we get to sip on our drinks at the same time. It’s a great way to connect with our inner artist and release any stress.
As we navigate the holiday season, let’s not forget to take a moment to appreciate the simple joys that surround us. The quiet satisfaction of unwrapping gifts, laughing with our family and friends or the first sip of your favorite beverage—these are the moments that truly make the season special.
